FAQs

Do you make bespoke furniture, windows, and doors as well as sell hardware?

Yes. Bespoke joinery is our main trade — furniture, timber windows, and doors made to measure in our workshop. The hardware, wood care tools, and fittings on this site are chosen to complement that work, but you're welcome to shop them on their own for any project.

How long does a bespoke joinery commission take?

It depends on the scope of the piece and our current workshop schedule. As a guide, most bespoke furniture and door commissions take several weeks from confirmed design to completion. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we quote your project.

Do the hardware and accessory items ship quickly?

Yes — stocked hardware, wood care, and window dressing items are processed within 1–2 working days and typically arrive within 6–8 days in total. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

Can I return an item if it doesn't suit my project?

Stocked hardware and accessory items can be returned within 30 days in unused condition — see our Returns & Refund Policy. Bespoke, made-to-measure joinery is produced specifically for your project and generally can't be returned in the same way; we'll confirm the terms for any bespoke commission before work starts.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

At the moment we ship within the UK only.

Is there a minimum order for free shipping?

Orders over £50 qualify for free shipping within the UK. Below that, standard shipping charges apply at checkout.

What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?

Contact us straight away at info@gschandlerjoinery.co.uk with your order number and a photo where possible. We cover return shipping for anything that arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered.

Can I visit the workshop in person?

Yes — we operate as both a workshop and an online store. Please contact us ahead of a visit so we can make sure someone's available to show you around and talk through your project.
